Mowing Safety With Multiple Mowers
Mowing With Multiple Mowers at Once
One of the most exciting advantages of Mowze’s autonomous mowing technology is how it allows a single operator to manage large green spaces with confidence and efficiency. Each of our electric mowers uses precise GPS data to map the perimeter of a site and automatically calculates the most effective mowing path. This allows your team to cover more ground with fewer resources—no complex setup, no guesswork. When multiple Mowze mowers are deployed as a fleet, they work together seamlessly, even in areas where their paths might overlap.
What Happens When They Overlap?
How do they manage it so smoothly? Each Mowze mower is connected to the cloud via an LTE connection and constantly updates its GPS location in real time to the cloud. This means every mower knows exactly where the others are, which direction they’re moving, and how to adjust to avoid collisions. It’s this level of awareness and coordination that allows Mowze mowers to complete the job smoothly and efficiently.
How do the Mowers Know Who Goes First?
We like to say that our software is “polite”—because it is. When a mower encounters a potential obstacle, including another mower, it stops and recalculates a new path. If two mowers meet head-on or side-by-side, they engage in a brief digital “conversation,” deciding who should proceed first. This allows one mower to yield while the other clears the way, keeping operations flowing without interruption. It’s a smart solution that reflects the Mowze philosophy of technology that works for you, not the other way around.
